Rotary aviation is a high risk and high reliability domain where the task, resources, airspace and environment are often in conflict with straightforward and standard operations. Having well trained and motivated aviators is critical to success and our core of trainers and consultants continue to thrive in providing bespoke and tailored courses that get straight to the core of the challenges modern aviation faces.

Rory Cunningham BsC HONS MsC
Rory started Yorvik Aviation after completing a number of high tempo military deployments and time as an Attack Helicopter instructor. Rory used his experiences to prepare European Defence Agency crews for possible deployment. It was during this time that he developed skills and techniques to bring synthetic training to life. He is a passionate advocate for humans remaining in charge of complex systems having flown some of the worlds most advanced helicopters.. With a background in critical and time pressured decision making Rory combines scientific vigour with real life experience to help organisations understand human performance and enhance the opportunity for success.

Captain Liv Milles BsC HONS
Liv began her flying career in the Royal Navy having a thirst for challenging and dynamic environments. Liv has enjoyed an exciting career across the world flying in high tempo operations all of which led her to a desire to understand human performance. She has been a qualified Crew Resource Management Trainer for several years and has built her own courseware and ethos driven by her naturally inquisitive mindset and commitment to mentorship.
Liv continues to command HEMS missions in the SW of the UK.

Captain Dave Guy
Dave began his flying career in the military before taking civilian roles managing bases across Europe and Africa. Today he uses his ATPL flying Corporate tasks and HEMS both Single and Multi Pilot. An experienced CRMT Dave designs and delivers courses to some of the biggest AOC's in the business and is always in high demand. Dave has experienced some of the harshest flying environments and specialises in procedural management strategies for mitigating human error.

Captain Matt Wilcock
Matt is our resident Test Pilot and no short Biography can capture the depth of knowledge and experience that Matt has gained over his career. He has flown almost every type of helicopter and instructed at every level of the Test Pilot syllabus. He is a serving Chief Pilot flying in a challenging and dynamic life saving role but finds time to advise on some of our more complex projects. In high demand Matt thrives on challenging technical aviation requirements and is a specialist at integrating technologies onto existing fleets.
